I'm in the process of upgrading from an elderly i7-4 laptop with 32GB, to a Ryzen 9-5900x with 32-soon-to-be 64GB. I'm still on the old machine right now, I has 11 external hard drives 4 of them 2.5", and the 7 x 3.5" need to come out of their cases and go into the new box, and I also have to find all of the install files for all the little programs without which life is not so easy. I also need to migrate my uTorrent to the new machine without disturbing all of the current install, I also want to move it away from the C: drive - I seed so much that uTorrent startup delays the machine statup - C:\Users\computer\AppData\Roaming\uTorrent has nearly 10,000 files in it. My uTorrent seeds are spread over 4 drives. What do I need to do to move my uTorrent install ?? cheers BJ

Well thanks for your help, and although I did try the “index finger tap” , finding that it didn’t work I resorted to my all time favourite, “kick the sh1t out of it” which also didn’t work fully, but it did show up a fault of dislodged memory which I’m am in the process of refitting along with the SSD which also didn’t take kindly to my “fix”, but all being well, and I can put it back together and don’t run out of superglue it should survive, although I’m a bit concerned about whether the bluetack will be good enough to hold the SSD in place. I also seem to have a few screws left over so I will stick then inside the case for maybe next time someone takes it apart, if they can break the glue that is. Thanks again for your insight into such complicated things, sorry you missed euro song contest, still on the bright side you might be able to catch one of the many repeats that will be shown. TTFN

Wow all these questions this early, it all very worrying, but luckily I managed to miss it all but alas I was greeted with the news that the UK scored naff all again, anyone would think Europe don’t like us brits, but they must do really cus that’s where most brits are moving to where they will be in a minority, why move, your a minority here anyway. Having probs this morning with an i7 laptop, clean install but slower that my old duel core. All checks out fine and no hardware faults found but slow, duel core beats it by a good margin, both have same SSDs i7 8gb mem, duel core has 4gb. Same os. Can’t see why it’s so slow. Any ideas?
