Hi all. Glad I found this community! Been trying to collect Karaoke files for my daughter since we bought her a system over the holidays that supports the .cdg format. I'm looking for some information on how to differentiate/understand all the different acronyms.

For instance, a lot of the files that are being posted above have names that begin like:

• CC
• EZH
• RSX
• BCY
• BHK
• HTG
• etc

I have also downloaded some collections and I have numerous copies of some songs which have differing tag files with terms like:

• RS
• TT
• THM
• SF
• SC
• L
• KP
• HS
• HK
• CB
• AS

I'm sure that these all must be different "brands" of Karaoke files, so I guess I am looking for a source which describes what all the different ones are?

Also, I would like to know what generally are considered the "best" ones. We have tried more than one variety for a single song and have found at least with a couple of them that some definitely appear to be of better quality (like the text is more on the beat of the song, etc).
It would save me a lot of time when setting things up for my daughter if I knew the best ones to choose without having to try them all out.

Hi mate you are on the right lines all of the above are shortened terms of the different labels.
if you aim for sunfly and zoom you won't go too far wrong.

• TT Top Tunes (Not to bad)
• THM Top Hits Monthly (Not to bad)
• SF Sunfly (Pretty Good)
• SC Sound Choice (On a par with Sunfly)
• L Don't know this one unless L is short for LEG
• KP Never heard of this one
• HS Hot Stuff Karaoke (If you must)
• HK assuming these are the same as above HSK
• CB - ChartBuster (If you must)
• AS - All Star (not soo good)
