Type O Negative

Type O Negative was a gothic / doom metal band formed in Brooklyn, New York, US in 1990. They are

well known for their dry, morbid and ironic sense of humor and their often slow and brooding music.

"The Drab Four" (the nickname Type O Negative gave themselves) always succeeded in keeping their

own unique style, mixing melodic, classic rock 'n' roll with slow, doom-like vibes, and down-tuned

heavy metal guitar riffs with dark soundscapes. They were also known for doom metal riffs, deep

bass lines, heavy but usually slow drums and bass-range vocals of gothic metal.

XP8

XP8 was formed by Marco Visconti and Marko Resurreccion. The band, started in 2001 as a trio including

previous singer Paul Toohill and based in Rome, Italy , composes an airy blend of EBM, electronica, techno

and trance, bringing their various visions and talents to life with synthetic vibrancy and danceable beats,

crossing electronic genres with relative ease. Aimed at the heart of the dancefloor, the music keeps listeners

moving through the night in timeless waves, emitting subtle hints of the 1980s while slipping easily into

sounds of the new millennium: glitchy patterns, sharp simulated strings, and clear vocals travel through

bright sequences and brooding atmospheres.

found a wide audience in the 1970s and 1980s for their stand-up routines, which were based upon

the era's hippie, free love and (especially) drug culture movements. Cheech played a cholo from

Los Angeles, while Chong was a burnt-out "druggie" whose entire life revolved around getting high.

The duo released a number of successful comedy albums, and starred in a series of low-budget

films, becoming one of the most successful comedy teams of all time.
