Originally a minimal Post-Punk synthesiser-based group from Sheffield, UK, they became one of the most successful New Wave acts of the 80s. The only consistent band member is vocalist and songwriter Phil Oakey. The band's best known configuration was their 1980-1985 lineup of Phillip Oakey (vocals), Joanne Catherall (vocals), Susanne Sulley (vocals), Phillip Adrian Wright (keyboards), Jo Callis (guitar, keyboards) and Ian Burden (bass)

[HEADING=2]Fields of the Nephilim[/HEADING] Fields of the Nephilim is a gothic rock band, active throughout the 1980s. They formed in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, UK in 1984. Carl McCoy, Gary Whisker, Tony Pettit and brothers Paul Wright and Alexander 'Nod' Wright were the starting lineup. Peter Yates joined by the time of their first release, replacing Gary Whisker. The band's name refers to magnetic fields and the biblical Nephilim race. Their sound was innovative in the gothic scene, incorporating heavy metal elements to make a hard, bass and guitar driven sound underneath McCoy's growled vocals.

[HEADING=2]Juno Reactor[/HEADING] Juno Reactor is an electronic psytrance group, often known for its world fusion influences and currently consists of Ben Watkins and Mike Macguire. At one time or another, Juno Reactor also included Johann Bley, Stephen Holweck and Jens Waldenback. Juno Reactor was formed in 1990 by Ben Watkins and Stephen Holweck. The group came together as an experimental ambient project in order to record an accompanying soundtrack to sculpture artist (and Watkins' girlfriend) Norma Fletcher's art installation and performance piece called "The Missile Project".

Violet Red The color violet red is a bright tone of red-violet, it has been a Crayola color since 1958. Red-violet or pigment purple (pigment red-violet) represents the way the color purple (red-violet) was normally reproduced in pigments, paints, or colored pencils in the 1950s on an old-fashioned RYB color wheel. The normalized color coordinates for red-violet are identical to medium violet red, which was first recorded as a color name in English with the formalization of the X11 color names over 1985–1989. By the 1970s, because of the advent of psychedelic art, artists became used to brighter pigments, and pigments called "purple" or "bright purple" that are the pigment equivalent of electric purple became available in artist's pigments and colored pencils. Reproducing electric purple in pigment requires adding some white and a small amount of blue to red-violet pigment. Even then, the reproduction will not be exact, because it is impossible for pigment colors to be so bright as colors displayed on a computer.
