I dont think I ever created an "introduction" topic. Sadly, as well as saying hello, I feel its also time to say goodbye. I came to read and reply to the latest posts on Torrent Galaxy - and find it closed. Last week I had a post randomly deleted, now a topic I found useful is just been killed off. I'll still be uploading of course, but the forum has just not been a great experience. So greetings and best wishes to everyone have fun, but from me, its hello & goodbye. * If you ever want to contact me for any reason, I can still be messaged on the main site.

Basically a week now, its this the longest its ever been down I wonder .... [ My bot logs show it went down in a 6 hour window a week ago, we are about an hour into that window ]

Well Snowtiq leaving wasnt a bad thing (in my eyes anyway) but they (she ?) appears to have picked a very poor successor. When the site is up, their concern seems to be getting donations out of people, and despite getting some, the site continues to die. As I think I said in my deleted post, its just a case of taking bets on when it will return, and when it does, more bets on how long it will stay up. Even torrent freak noted "the site still has issues. But at this point, technical problems are no longer news. ". (just expected). Edit: Forgot to add, last time the upload bots (to other sites) were still working, but this time it seems they all went offline as well. .

So you deleted my post because you messed up something in yours ? How is that acceptable ?

Back ... ish Images broken, uploads trigger database error, downloads broken. Family could not even login. Stupid checkpoint looping forever. Seems they move to cloudflare now, so dont even need it. Fortunately, we had a copy of her cookies, so set them up in the browser. They actually want people to donate to this shambles ...... yeah, not happening.

Maybe, but it doesnt really matter if thats the final server or just a proxy. Either way its in Ukraine, and all TGX traffic (on the .to domain) is routed via it. .mx has been killed off, since it now points to localhost. The ongoing issues made Torrentfreak today. [Hidden Content]

Just lookup the IP address for 'torrentgalaxy.to' in DNS. It's an IP hosted with "vsys.host" in their Ukraine DC (in Kyiv). Even worse, if you lookup 'torrentgalaxy.mx' - that's pointed at 127.0.0.1 - so never going to work !

Well I stopped visiting due to issues with (lack of) moderation, but I considered its days numbered when they started begging for money. If you take over running a site, you should know how much it costs to run, and where the money is coming from, for at least a year+ in advance. As I said before, using hosting in Ukraine seems really bizarre, did they forget its at war, with its energy grid & communications repeatedly targeted.

Torrent Galaxy is still down, so I dont know what site you're referring to ? ( Mafketal is one of the Admins on TGX, so I'm pretty sure he would know if its up/down as well ) . I note TGX is hosted in Ukraine atm - that seems a somewhat odd choice for reliability.

Well this place was offline earlier, and TGX was offline as well. Glo is back (obviously, since I'm posting here) but TGX is still dead.

No idea if mine is right or wrong. I note I'm tagged as an "Uploader", not a "Verified Uploader". Surely after 40,000 uploads I'm verified ? (My rank on the site actually says VIP) :)

Probably because the pages you are trying to view use the search, which is broken atm, returning 500 errors. I posted about it here, 4 days ago, it had already been broken a couple of days by then. [Hidden Content] There seems to be no one around to fix it [no response yet].
