Thanks BJ Perfect.
Thanks BJ Perfect.
This may be a long shot...
I am just going through the Capital Karaoke Australia ACT Australian Chart Toppers.
ACT023 to ACT028 seem a bit dodgy, with variable sample rates and low bit rates.
Does anyone have these albums that have a sample rate frequency of 44100hz and with a bit rate of 128KBPS or above.
Thank you,
Lee.
Probably my favorite Floyd song (definitely my fave non-Syd song), so stoked to have this finally!!!Pink Floyd - Fearless x 2 versions in CDG WBV and Without BV

You're wrong there.Hi Sacot1,
Thanks for the tracks but many are really faulty.
That would be a function of the player that you're using and not whatBecause of the differing sample-rates some play at completely the wrong speed! They play like the chipmunks remix
VLC is not a program that I would recommend for playing karaoke, in fact**different players may handle this differently. VLC certainly fails.
Lee.
Yes, Winamp is really simple to use and very useful for checking files etc. You're wrong there.
That would be a function of the player that you're using and not what
Scottie kindly shared with us.
VLC is not a program that I would recommend for playing karaoke, in fact
there isn't a video player that I would recommend. Playing with the version
that I have here v3.0.18 Vetinari - I find that it while it will play MP3s with their
corresponding CDGs, it will play only the MP3 if an MP3/CDG zip is dragged
into the program.
SFAIK any of the current DJ players which are advertised as playing video
will do the job for you - I use VirtualDJ. You can download and use the program
for free from their site; I bought mine so that as and when and if I need support
I can get it easily.
Here on my home computer I use WinAmp with two add-ons.
One of them gives WinAmp the ability to play CDGs which match the name the
an MP3 that's playing.
The other add-on plays the content of a ZIPfile, which means that dragging a
zip into WinAmp starts it playing the content straight away.
Once it's playing it's easy to use the left/right arrows to jump through a song
looking for bad GFX.
You are not being too picky. There's nothing worse than when someone selects a song and it doesn't play properly. It's embarrassing.Hi BJ,
I certainly appreciate the shares, whoever they are from.
Scottie is a legend in this regard, as are you!
At work, as a DJ, I indeed use Virtual DJ with an infinity pro licence.
I was just highlighting that not all players will handle these unusual (32000 and 22050) sample-rates correctly, and may play things at the wrong speed.
On my day to day PC, when I work with MP3Tag, playing a track actually plays it with VLC. That's how I noticed the "chipmunk" playback.
So, maybe "faulty" was not the correct terminology? - I apologise.
In any case, a bit-rate of 96KBPS and a sample rate of 22050 is not ideal...
I have checked all the files in my big share that have these unusual sample-rates, and they all play at the correct speed, which is not the case with some of the recently shared Capital files.
I don't think this is important enough to pursue this any further so I have tagged, tidied, and uploaded all the Capital stuff to my share and will leave it at that.
If, in the future any better rips of the tracks comes to light, I can always swap them out.
On another note, again, not so important... is that not all the Capital tracks are Capital tracks! a few are SBI, Sunfly and KaraokeCloud.
Always remember that although I may seem "picky" it is all in the pursuit of better quality track collections.
Cheers!
Lee.
