what is the best online storage I looked at mega it's £13.11 per month for 3 users (? would it work if we shared login details ??)

How much storage does that buy? I’m paying basically $2 CAD for the OneDrive 100GB . My 30GB from Mega is free.

I found the best way is to use real-debrid account, you can then DL Mega files at your fullish speed, so.. sign up for free account n Mega, download the desktop app and phone app (I think) so you eventually once paired with your mega account you get around 30gb of space. I just store stuff for one week that I upload (plenty of time IMO for peeps to grab) then delete and replace.

16 EURO x 180 DAYS

 

++ You get the added extras of been able to DL from other hosts besides Mega at full throttle.

I’m going to put up my BKD files I have along with The EK files. I’ve already started uploading them. Will take a few hours.

I do want to acknowledge that most of the files I have are from either BJtheDJ or sacot1 or others on this forum.

Purchased the OneDrive 100GB in case it would help this forum. This is my big chance if anyone is in agreement, although my collection does have some holes, I imagine.

I tested out, for the first time, copying over sacot1's 9.32 folder of SFMW to my Mega account and sometimes hit speeds of 22mb/s while downloading. Before when I downloaded something like sacot1's file, straight from the link to the Mega page folder, it would take forever to get the zip file. This is all on my PC.

Do you have a "FREE" mega account or premium? If FREE then that's the kinda speed you would get mate. I use real-debrid with Mega & DL using JDownloader2, get my full speed but takes me a while as where I am you can't get full blown fibre yet so I still live in the dark ages of internet lol.

I think you have opened a can of worms here.

 

But gauging from the reaction here many of us think its a good idea if we can pull it off.

1 central database that everyone can add to / download from rather than individuals.

I know geographically there will be songs that you will never be asked for or play.

 

there are a lot of hurdles to get over but I think it would be worth it in the long run,

being a victim of the dreaded hard drive crash, I know it takes ages to get back what you have lost

My apologies if you're getting slow downloads from me right now

My VM fibre line should be giving me in excess of 1GB/sec down

and 25MB/sec up.

 

Rebooted the hub, the computer, the router and the switch - but

still getting less than 50MB/sec down and less than 1MB/sec up.

 

Normally my uTorrent runs along uploading at about 4MB/sec,

right now it's telling me 2.07kb/sec up for 10 active uploads

 

Middle of the night here so back to bed and call the engineer in

about 10 hours time if things are still bad.

 

Hopefully normal service soon.

 

All back online A-OK now - turns outthat the VM hub has a pinhole

reset switch on the back, talked to 8 different non-English speaking

Tech Support morons before one had the bright idea of suggesting

this - after we had talked for 20 minutes.

 

Two minutes later all was fine.

 

My uTorrent has now gone even pottier than normal with uploads

and all of my torrents from yesterday now have a ratio better than

two I'm very happy to say :giggle::giggle:

thanks for this @BJtheDJ ....as i said a way while back, my computer and its hard drive crashed including the external backup drive...so Im rebuilding my collection from scratch with your help and @sacot1...My entire collection, gone, since following you from KAT were entirely gone...

 

I only was able to download from this forum parts/collection missing from the SF karaoke hits, Mr. Entertainer Karaoke HIts, SF World stars, BKDS, ....

I don't have SFMW, SoundChoice, CKA, Legends, DK, EK, EZ, CK, SO ,PR, RT, FIK ,STTW, AH, MM, XPK....poor me, some labels I've never even heard off....since I am no KJ....Im just a singer

 

By the way, reunion/drinking party starts at 5:00 p.m. until 3 a.m....playing and singing continuously until someone requests and grabs the mic (which happens immediately as per consumption of alcohol) its like an open mic kind of vibe, where anyone can grab the mic and sing without having to assign or call a singer. No worries as everybody is not required to drive and will be sleeping at the same venue, for everybody's sake...
