DaveyDee Posted September 26, 2023 Report Posted September 26, 2023 With all of the excitement of multiple SC's being posted, I've realised that I have a track missing that's not duped on any of the non-SC10### discs. Anybody have SC8435-04 please ?? cheers Just checking... are you really after This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up ? 1
DaedalusWren Posted September 27, 2023 Report Posted September 27, 2023 After checking my mirror of the DK discs, I found the naming was a bit random and haphazard, so I have reorganised the layout of my DK This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up , and the disc sets are now correctlly labelled (I think!), as: DK CDG DK ENCORE #1 DK MILENNIUM DK MILENNIUM SUPER DISC DK PREMIERE DK USA I have added in the missing Discs from the original Milennium series post. The DKMS discs are now correctly labelled as DKMS905 and DKMS910, although the tracks are still not in DISCID - ARTIST - TITLE format at present. I am going to try and re-name the tracks in due course. (not an easy task with 1815 tracks)! NOTE: I am finding a great number of tracks wrongly attributed and I am less that half way through so far! For continuity purposes, I have left the 'Singles' folder as it was originally posted, but I am assuming they are just duplicates. Just went through the whole Singles folder, and every one is already represented on other discs in the collection you have, so it can just be discarded.

DaveyDee Posted September 27, 2023 Report Posted September 27, 2023 Yep I'll never be asked for it, but I don't have it, and I'm a completist :geek: Lol, I know what you mean, it bugs me when I have almost a whole set, or something is not quite complete too. I guess DW didn't notice that the track title in my question was also a link!
DaveyDee Posted September 27, 2023 Report Posted September 27, 2023 Just went through the whole Singles folder, and every one is already represented on other discs in the collection you have, so it can just be discarded. Thanks for the info, at least it will clear out a bit of space on my MEGA... Now all I need to find is a decent Duplicate File FInder for the files I have on my home archive, I am sure there are tons of dupes on there, but going through half a million files is going to be a major task
wilkinp4 Posted September 27, 2023 Report Posted September 27, 2023 So after the DK uploads, I have been comparing files. For anyone that wants to save a bit of Disc space..... DK Deluxe are DKP + DKAs Mixed [79 Discs] DKF - Favorites (Same as Encore) [35 Discs] DKG - Graphics are the Original Series (DK or DKG depending how you have them listed.) [99 Discs] The above info is taken from KSLC. The ones which I don't think have been uploaded are the German discs and the Hip-Hop discs, both available for D/L This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up I think the only one I am missing is the Spanish/Latin disc 701, and of course cocaine v2. Anyone?

DaveyDee Posted September 27, 2023 Report Posted September 27, 2023 (edited) I can only assume cocaine is v1 is song factory and v2 is DK or vice versa Actually it is the other way around... Cocaine v.1 (or the one that appears first as DKMS905-162, is the same as the track that appears on DK1112. Cocaine v.2, which appears as DKMS905-183, and displays a 'SONG FACTORY' graphic, also appeared on DK1114, bearing the same graphic (at least it does on my genuine DK1114 disc). While there may be some questioning as to why a DK track should display a different CDG, a little research will show that the last three discs in the DK Premiere series (DK1113 - DK1115) were produced and pressed by Song Factory, not Daiichi Kosho (DK). It may well be - as no-one can now give a definitive answer as both compaines are now defunct as far as disc production is concerned - that there was a slip in quality control and the incorrect CDG sub-code was put onto the disc. I can understand why this may upset some purists, I seem to remember being a little confused myself the first time I used my legitimately purchased DK1114, but hey, them's the breaks. No there are no 'pan pipes' on either the v.1 or v.2 track, which could point to the possibility that Cocaine v.2 should not have been on the disc in the first place given that only two discs earlier, another version of Cocaine had already been published. I knew there would be a knowledgeable person on here thanks for clearing that up.
