Perhaps he only had a 12/75 modem!!!

Nowadays with Synchronous rates up in the Gigabits (especially on seedboxes) you can seed any number of torrents, I have bonded channels here at home, and i am currently running 1.6Gb which gives me more capability to seed than I need, without affecting any of my streaming/downloading/media sharing capability.

Back in 2016 or 2016 I put up a brand new disc set, I think it may have been a Mr

Entertainer; the very next day Rigmar put up a new torrent titled 'New monthly

karaoke' - or words to that effect.

When I downloaded it I saw that it was the same set of zipfiles that I had just

uploaded, all files the same size as nine but renamed to remove the album/track

from the front of the filename and the comapny name added at the end.

Opening up the zips ahowed that it was indeed my torrent; I checked in with Miss

Kitty (sadly now no longer listed as a GLO staff member) who started this chat

forum and his torrent was taken down.

He no longer torrents here and I haven't seen anything from him on other sites

for nearly a year; he did put up some good music videos.

I see that he now puts into his info:

"Feel free to call this your own and reseed it on any other site."

Looking for the KV version of

Diana Krall - "Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting)"

Two copies here, both with corrupted mp3 files within the zipfile.

Anybody got, can assist - if you can, please check zip before posting :)

Have a clean version here for you

This is the hidden content, please
It is also in my KV share in the KVD folder.

Personally I prefer the Bob Rivers, Chipmunks Roasting version

Yup, I saw he did that a lot. I firmly believe he did that with a couple of my torrents back in the day when I got early release stuff. He seemed to have hooks in all the sharing sites and lifted anything 'new and hot' and claimed them as 'his' torrents. His rep at the time drew attention and he got the kudos... After that I started to put entries in the mp3 tags so I could identify if they were in fact mine or not.

It may sound strange, but that is why I pretty much limit what I post on 'karaoke sites' (that and the fact that I was declined upload status on Glo! :() but happy to put up new stuff on here where people seem not to want to take people for a ride...

If you purchase a Karaoke Version track, you will see it has a file number similar to the track numbers of all other manufacturer, except for one major difference. If you open the zip, you will find that the number on the compressed files is different. One is the actual catalog number and the other is associated with your account with Karaoke Version. Yes, Tracking number.

Share it and they can track who's account it was purchased from. For this reason I use Advanced Renamer on all my KV tracks and replace the KV# with just generic KV. Then I run them through KJ File Manager, which if set right, will rename the compressed files to match the zipped filename, making all traces of any # disappear. Just an FYI and how to mitigate the issue.

Actually there is an easier way. Unzip the files with Windows Explorer, it has a built in zip manager. If you wish you can re-name the files in KJFM by first importing the files in Artist - Title - ID. You then have the option of Inserting KV- at the start of the DiscID - either one at a time, or as a batch task - (I prefer to use KVD- to denote a download rather than obtained from elsewhere), amd then choose the export option to rename the files in your preferred name structure.

If you happen to have it, it is also useful to re-zip the files (preferrably after using KJFM to maintain naming in and out of the zip files) using MP3+GTools. once again this runs best as a batch process, so move all the cdg and mp3 files to a seperate folder and then run the program on the folder.

About 4 or 5 years ago I went through all my karaoke using 1st Windows explorer, looking for missing tracks, full discs etc (hence my folders are marked FD). Then I loaded up KJFM, sorted by Artist, Title, and made sure all the artists and titles were correct as found on Wiki and Discogs. Then I sorted again in KJFM by Title, Artist and did it all again. I spend a couple of hours a day, which took me about 3 months to complete, but it was worth it. Now every January while its quiet, I repeat the KJ process, and I can see at a glance what is wrong, and it takes me just a couple of days in total. Well worth it.

Pet hates I have a gizillion of. People that think they know the artist and song title better than the artist themselves, and Cyndi Lauper Girl's Just Want To Have Fun, being 2, but I just get on with it.

Easier yet; extract the archive content using MP3+Gtoolz - which will rename the content

with the name of the zipfile.

But on the options page DON'T select the Auto-Rename Zip files option at any time - it's

how many zipfile names became fouled up,

Personally I have Recurse folders and Delete old files after processing permananetly

selected; if youmake any changes on that page close the pogram before use top make the

changes happen.

Random question; I work as part of a group of KJ's and one of them has asked about Zoom Pop Chart Picks. I have a few of those, but not all. Does anyone have a complete set that they could upload, please? x

Look back over the previous posts, I put these up a while ago...
