Ok, I have just gone through the JTG catalog I now have, which will probably closely mirror a few here. Here is the list of missing tracks I have found.

JTG-

040-15

115-17

128-08

131-01 to 09

142-04, 09, 16, 22, 27

195-15

200 disc C track 14 Penny Lane

303-16

318-10 & 12

354-10, 12, 13

359-19, 21

377-11

380-11

Side note:

JTG094 Artist name wrong in my catalogue of songs, Some named Linder, should be Linda.

If anyone has these missing tracks, then I can amend my share, and it will have every song as far as we know except for JTG204, which is just copies of PS and JTG discs, and the ever elusive JTG365.

Cheers, it has been a great hunt.

Here's a few of them, like me know if its the right Bette Midler tracks, as some of them where named wrong.

JT-365.

I've just had a reply from M.S.V. Musik-Sound-Vertriebs in Austria, where I enquired

about the JT-365 disc on their website at:

This what he tells me:

Hello,

Many thanks for your inquiry.

This item is a songbook including CD.

This is not a karaoke CD

Best regards

Stefan Kraker

So I think that we can safely put that one to bed now as non-existent.

I have got to ask a question here. I have all my music prefixes, (i.e. SC, JTG, DK, TT, etc.) labeled in the naming conventions found on not only every listing source I can find, but also the prefix set down by the manufacturer of the track/disc. So it perplexes me to find many change the prefix on a lot of tracks to something other than that of the manufacturer.

Just wondering why?

I have got to ask a question here. I have all my music prefixes, (i.e. SC, JTG, DK, TT, etc.) labeled in the naming conventions found on not only every listing source I can find, but also the prefix set down by the manufacturer of the track/disc. So it perplexes me to find many change the prefix on a lot of tracks to something other than that of the manufacturer.

Just wondering why?

I think the reason that some of the changes are made are that there are many producers who use almost random codings for some of their discs, i.e. the Just Tracks codings can be PSJT, PSJTG, JT or JTG... At one time the JT signified discs with no graphics, but over time you could end up with JT or PSJT discs that had been reissued with graphics, etc.

Then there were other companies who sometimes gave their discs ID's similar or in some cases identical to other companies' codings.

Also you have a company like Legends that randomly published their listings as either LG, LEG or whatever the sales team decided to use on the day, even their invoicing of product could be different on different occasions. Or SIng To The World, who had different ranges (KJ PRO, LOADED, etc.) but all with the prefix STTW, and sequential, not even diffrent numbering protocols for the diffrent ranges!

Finally you had the retaillers who would often apply their own ID codings for the products they were selling. It all added up to a real hodge-podge of ID codes. With the advent of Digital downloads, what would tell you that a track that started with just the letter G then a number was an SBI download or a track that came from the Motown Karaoke range of discs?

Many KJ's opted to use their own methods of coding and standardising (in their own minds) how they would list their tracks in the days of using songbooks to identify which disc a particular track was on, and sorted their disc cases accordingly. I mean who would want to arrange their cases with JT's first, then the JTG's, then PSJT's and finally PSJTG's (the latter two possibly getting mixed up with their Pocket Songs discs!)

I believe that is why on occasions it made sense to ignore the publishers' codings and arrange discs accordingly.

Bear in mind that individual tracks actually carry no ID's at all, and are referenced only by their running order on the disc.

It is only with the advent of Digital formatting of tracks that it really became an issue, mainly because it was easier for sharing of tracks (still strictly illegal, but what the hey!), and different methods of track naming became more noticeable.

I know of a couple of friends who would buy discs, then copy off only the tracks that they wanted to use, and burn them onto other discs and work from those, with totally unrelated codes to the original sources!

Just checking your Top Tunes Catalogue against mine and I thought I'd ask first. Are these complete discs?

They were mostly ripped from my CD collection, so for the most part I can guarantee yes.

That's a clue; JT have remarkably few dupes with single discs.

OK, we can follow the guide of the label, or make up the 'missing' track

so that it agrees with online sources.

TU's are the same as yours TTFP has 82 folders yours has 2.

The retailler I used to get my discs from never stocked the full range, and I mainly concentrated on the big brands anyway so I didn't really get into the Fun Packs at the time...

Now I am more into completing sets!
