wilkinp4 Posted January 26 Report Posted January 26 Quite right BJ, they are converted twice, once to wav then to mp3 @192. I decided years and years ago after taking the official sound comparison test for bitrates, and a lot of reading up on audio formats that 192 was about right for a CD. I have stuck with this ever since and am happy with that choice. As I said why have dolby 5.12 for someone to grab a mic and kill it anyway. 3

Rip to BIN and then split to sound and graphics. The good ole days of having to have the right disc reader - Yamaha or Plextor depending on which way the wind was blowing that day ?? SunFly with their fancy 2-session efforts to stop us copying that meant that they had to reprint and replace discs that proper k-players couldb't play; and then later on Easy with their black discs. GoldenHawk's crap software that somehow worked,(if you had the correct CD reader) most of the time. Yep. The good ole days 3 2 2
