Funny story, many MANY years ago I was looking for the version of "It's De-Lovely" from this disc and couldn't find it because Priddis went bankruptcy. I wanted to sing it at the karaoke party before my sister's wedding. Then on a fateful trip to Portland OR, I walked into a local gay bar and saw the host singing that exact version at karaoke. I asked him where he got it and he said he bought the disc before it went out of print. He told me to come back to a different bar where he'd be playing the next night, and he'd sell me a copy for $10. I went on to serenade my sister perfectly in the summer of 2010.

 

Anyway that disc is sitting in a box in my parents' garage, who knows if it would even play after 16 years, and I don't even have an optical drive on any of my machines anymore, so I appreciate this greatly.

Nian's HM video karaoke

 

I've been sorting out a real jumble of stuff by Nian who produced video karaoke

trax starting (I think) 2008.

It's come from multiple sources as AVI MP4 FLV and WMV, so it's been real pain

sorting out dupes between the various formats, but I've finally finished and they

are all MP4 files.

 

It is almost unbelievable how different people can name the same karaoke track

differently ~~ f'rinstance the Freddie Mercury & Montserrat Caballe trax came as:

Freddie Mercury _ Montserrat Caballe

Freddie Mercury, Montserrat Caballe

Freddie Mercury Montserrat Caballe

~~ there were masses of duplicates.

 

Now down from just under 22GB to almost 10GB.

 

They will only be up for 2 days because I need the space on my GDrive
