There seem to be three methods of file naming for KV, and what I've deduced is this (which may or may not be correct: KV ~~ lower numbers ~~ bought from the KV website. KV -- higher numbers ~~ bought by clicking a link on the iCroons website giving iCroons commision for linking to KV KVD ~~~ I've no idea at all where these originate . For those reasons above I file my KV's Artist - Title - KV-number If I do have a number I put it as the last figure in the track title ~~ but I do have a lot of KV's which don't have numbers and which can't be found either on iCroons or on any of the KV lists that I've seen, so I just put KV at the end so that I know which manufacturer produces it. Maybe I can clarify: The Karaoke-Version Catalog does NOT come with a prefix. I prefer KVD as the “Album”: KVD= “Karaoke Version Download” – I find it useful while sorting/searching. The official KV Catalog comes in .XML format. I have included a snippet of the file converted to an excel spreadsheet format along with the current official Catalog. Here is the current Catalog: This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up To clarify the misunderstands on the lower numbers, higher numbers, I will try to explain: The lower number “ID2” as shown in the example is the CORRECT ID for the Artist and Song. The higher number, “ID6” is NOT the Catalog Number. This number indicates Format, Track Type, With or Without Background Vocals, and if has Lead Singer Vocals. Karaoke-Versions.com adds 500+ unique songs each month plus many more variations of that song. Each month I convert the .XML Catalog into an Excel spreadsheet, remove duplicates, add my prefix “KVD”, sort, and then save to a PDF. You can download the official .XML file here: This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up It is 60mb+ in size 7 1 1 2
mee7532 Posted Saturday at 07:21 PM Report Posted Saturday at 07:21 PM Good day everyone. I have a big problem with my Sax & Dotty Show Presenter Pro program. I cannot get the program to work at all. When I try to start the program, I receive an error that says: "This application is not installed correctly, Connection to database failed". I have e-mailed Sax & Dotty support for both the original website and the Pro website, but have received no response. I have even completely uninstalled, redownloaded the program, and reinstalled with the error still continuing. Has this happed to anyone else here, and if it did, how did you fix it? And help or suggestions are appreciated, as I am not very program savvy. Thank You

They generally answer emails within a day of so, and I have always received a reply. Did you look at their website for downloading instructions and follow along. Just spit balling suggestions. First check your spam folder. 2

First check your spam folder. I check my spam folder daily, and don't have them on block. I have emailed both the regular sax-n-dotty site, as well as the Show Presenter Pro site, and neither has replied. I find it funny, as they have always replied when I asked questions before, and I have used their products for almost years. I will try emailing both again. 1

Towards the top on the left, there's a drop-arrow labelled CLICK THIS DROP DOWN LIST TO FIND DISC CODES In the 'N's of that list you'll see two entries for North Stra: NORTH STAR COUNTRY NM NORTHSTAR POP NM If you click the Country entry it'll take you to NM discs starting at NM3001 If you click the Pop entry it'll take you to NM discs starting at NM2001 I noticed this, and I assumed that the Pop songs started at 2000 and the Country started at 3000. Thanks for the clarification BJ. Cheers. 1 1

KV - Karaoke Version, I am seeing two different listings, an example of this is: KV-86371 - Zach Top - Things To Do and KV-10911943 - Zach Top - Things To Do The catalogue which was recently posted, and dated March this year (thank you, whoever it was! Appreciated) doesn't seem to have any of the higher numbers, but the 86371 is listed. My question is simple, is 10911943 an order number, and 86371 a catalogue number? Why the 2 numbers? Over to you BJ or anyone who knows! This is what I have heard. If you purchase a KV track, it comes named as the order number to the purchaser. I have in the past mentioned that, to those who are gracious enough to offer their KV tracks, to open the zip and use the number used inside the zip, as that is the actual catalogue number. Offering up your track, with the original name at purchase time, may open you up to KV tracing who the track was originally sold to. Check it out the next time you purchase a track. wilkinp4 Posted yesterday at 05:37 AM Report Posted yesterday at 05:37 AM Thanks everyone for your great replies. I have copied and pasted all your notes, and saved them to a KV text file for later use. I have always just named them KV-[Alphabetically]. But if the files aren't named correctly in the first place it is a bit of a nightmare, in fact it is the worse folder I have for duplicates and incorrect naming. I have just spent the last 4 months going through my entire karaoke collection, twice over, once by artists, once by track, and deleted 14,000 duplicates (from all my collection, not just KV!). It will be another couple of years now before I do it again, but I am now certain 95% of them are correctly named. 3 1
