OK.

For the All Hits collection, I have whittled it down to the following:

 

AH2000's (AH2000-AH2015)

AH8000's (AH8001-AH8023)

AHVP (AHVP01-AHVP10)

and the odd disc AH9821

 

This covers all the songs. As BJ and Wilkinp4 pointed out, all the others are just direct duplicates of other discs in the collection.

There is *still* some duplication with songs being present on 2 or more discs but it is much more streamlined now.

(Also, some of the duplicated tracks are re-recordings so you can choose which you think is best).

 

All tracks have been tagged to be consistent with the rest of the share, and any errors I could spot have been corrected.

I have uploaded it to the share.

 

**PROBLEMS**

Some songs have dodgy graphics but I have only swapped out a couple.

If anybody spots any really bad ones - let me know and I will swap them out.

 

Also, as I mentioned earlier, these tracks have been transcoded all to be 192KBPS. This doesn't do the sound quality any favours.

If anyone has the AH collection (or part of it) that they are confident hasn't been altered since its initial "rip" from CD then I would be interested in it.

The higher the bit-rate the better!

Some do, and some don't. This indicates the collection has been cobbled together from other duplicate discs in the collection.

Looking at some of the folders I haven't used, e.g. the AH Maxx pack... some of them DO say "All Hits 2000" where the ones in the 2000's folder don't.

So... I may get round to swapping them at some point.

Or I may not

AH2010-2015 all have the "All Hits 2000" logo.

AHVP1-10 all have the "All Hits 2000" logo.

AH8000's have different logos but have a sort of consistency about them.

So, if anyone has AH2000 to AH2009 that have the "All Hits 2000" logo splash screen I would be interested in those.

Hey Lee!   Here is AH2009.  They have the AllHits splash screen on them.  I started uploading AH2002 and They don't have the AllHits Splash Screen.   Im gonna look at the other ones and i'll get back to you.  I have the original CD's for these, so it appears they change things up along the way.  Very low budget it seems.

I have swapped the Don Henley track in - the graphics are good, thank you.

(So, I'm still looking for Talking Heads - Wild Wild Life from AH8002 with good graphics.)

 

As for the AH2000's, the splash screens are exactly the same mish-mash as before! So, if these are from the CD, then that must be how they were produced 

As you say..... low budget!

 

So far I have swapped AH2000, AH2001, AH2002 and AH2009 into the share as these are genuine 320K files.

As others have pointed out, the AH2003 link is actually for 2002 again.

 

And a side note.... you have track08 missing on AH2002, which should be Shania Twain - If You're Not In It For Love (I'm Outta Here)
