and in addition I'll tell you how I do it.
I use a very old version of uTorrent (v2.2.1) to download my torrents (and to make them as
well for that matter) newer versions are flooded with bits that you don't need. Many torrent
sites won't let you use newer versions. You can search the web for it and find many download
sites, this is the on that I use: [Hidden Content].
When you install uTorrent it will make itself the defaullt program for .TORRENT files
I use Firefox as my web browser but other browsers will act in a similar way:
Go to the application menu (the three horizontal bars top right of the page) and select
Settings (down towards the bottom) and then scroll down to Applications and you
should find that uTorrent has been selectd for TORRENT files.
Nope. They're scams you do not need to pay to download torrents - altough there are private
torrent sites which will give you access to downloads that are not generally available, those
sites rely on you seeding back the torrents that you download and you have to have positive
download to share ratio otherwise you can buy upload credits - but I dount that that will trouble
you.
Not at all. When you have you torrent program installed it will use the trackers in the torrent
to find the people sharing the torrent (the Swarm) and you download from them.
After you have downloaded your torrent it's only good manners to carry on sharing with the
world and it's recommended that you wait until you have share ratio of more than 1.0 before
deleting the torrent from the program.
SO !!! When you click on one of my torrent links that will take you to GLOtorrents where my
torrents are based. If you're in the UK or many other countries you will jot be able to get there
direct but will need to use a VPN or use UNBLOCKIT as a proxy.
UNBLOCKIT is currently at [Hidden Content] - that will change as the authorities close each site down but there's always a new one waiting.
Click thank you, (and if you leave a review that gives me 5 credits) and then click the torrent download link, whichnwill open a uTorrent window for you to select the download and carry on.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO PAY TO DOWNLOAD TORRENTS. If a site asks that of you then they know that you're a newbie and you MIGHT get the torrent (which MIGHT have had malware added to it) but most likely thatwillbe the last that youhear of your dosh.
What many of you people new to this forum may not know is that the forums here are part of the GLOtorrents site; the forums aren't actually here to swap files thru the cloud ( a very wasteful of way of sharing) one person to one person at a time - where torrenting has one person upload to the cloud and then shares around the would .
