What does the R signify at the end of "SC7526R" and a few others I saw?

Quite often when manufacturers re-issue a disc, they'll add or subract

songs or even change the runnng order.

 

It's a common thing for those manuracturers to carry on using the same

catalog number with no differentiation, so when we notice it we'll use

an R suffix , or maybe v1 or v2.

As others have said the R usually stands for Reissue, generally with minor changes to the running order. I the case of the Slep Reissues, it was usually because someone had sued them. Shakin' Stevens Lawyer/Agent/Manager tried the same thing with Zoom at one point, trying to bully the company to stop selling the Shakin' Stevens Discs, but I guess that one got resolved...
