Hi Lee not sure if thi

Hi Lee not sure if this will assist you. I use a file finder called "locate32" you can find it here ..

This is the hidden content, please
.

With this you can define your extensions, so tell it to look for cdg and mp3. Then if you search Celine Dion it will pull both files up and you can then delete both simultaneously.

Thanks.

I had a go but I couldn't seem to get it to recognise .cdg files.

**The problem is now resolved* see next post.

Open Windows Explorer (ALT + E)

Navigate to the root of your karaoke hard drive.

Press Control+F or F3 (Search/Find) and enter Celine Dion in the Search Box.

That search will find all of the Celine Dion tracks for you; note that it may

find other trax with the words Celine or Dion in them (fr'instance Dion,

Dion & the Belmonts, Dionne Warwick), but the trax both words will be

listed first.

(Just ran that search on my main karaoke hard drive and came up with 4,363

files and no Dion or Dionne Warwick files)

Assuming that you have nothing but Celine Dion tracks in your search results

select them all (Control+A) and then either:

a. Press Shift+Delete to remove them all permanently.

b, Press Delete so that they're saved to the Recycle Bin just in case you want

to undelete any of them.

c. Make a folder (Control+Shift+N) for temporarily holding all of those files

and drag n drop them into that folder (or use Control+X to cut the files from

the search results and Control+V to place them in the new TEMP folder) and

then delete them at your leisure.

Hi BJ,

Thanks for this.

I managed to do it after a bit of wrangling!

The actual phrase I wanted to delete was "(Vocals)" but the search kept picking up "(Backing Vocals)" and suchlike.

So, I renamed the files I wanted to delete as "DeleteVox" so they would be uniquely namesd.

I then used your method...

Perfect.

Thank you.

Hi,

Does anyone have any of the following:

They must unzip with no errors and have a bit rate of at least 128K.

Mine show no bit rate at all or just 56K in MP3Tag which makes me suspicious...

Pocket Songs PS2003 discs 1,2 and 3 (I don't need the full vocal tracks, so just tracks 11 upwards of all 3 discs).

Pocket Songs PS1004-11 Elvis Presley - Teddy Bear

Sing To The World:

STTW4514 Sad Cafe - Every Day Hurts

STTW4816 Rainbow - Since You've Been Gove

STTW4895 Buzzcocks - Ever Fallen In Love

STTW5493 Erasure - Oh L'Amour

STTW5036 Sam & Mark - Measure Of A Man

Thank you,

Lee.

Glad that it worked for you I did make an error in the first line. To

bring up Windows Explorer it should be Windows Key + E, Windows

Key is right next to the space bar.

Yep. it's a real pain that Windows Explorer only recognises letters

and numbers, but not any kind of punctuation.

One of the probs with trying to pull out all of the vocal tracks is the

myriad ways that have been used to indicate that a track is in fcat

a vocal guide track.

vocal, vocals, with vocal. with vocals - and sometimes enclosed in

brackets and sometimes those brackets are square, or curly :)

Not to mention me who uses w~vox at the end :love:

And then of course, you have Starland Vocal Band and Gaither Vocal

Band as well:devilish::devilish::devilish:
