Hi Frenchy, Welcome to our little grouphere.

If you have over a million then I'll bet a pound to a pinch

of sh!t that well over half of them are duplicates under different names

of identical files - I cut over 800GB of files from mine when removing all

spelling and punctuation differences as well as litlte things like LEGends

discs being labelled as LG ( a different series from the same company),

and Just JT track being listed as PSJT.

Not forgeting the companies that have the same prefix to their catalog

numbers.

And if you've been using IRC since 2004, then you'll have heaps and heaps

of low-quality music there as well. I was going through some of my old

tracks last week and there were 64kb/sec STEREO tracks there and 56kb/sec

mono tracks too; back in the day it wasn't noticed - I mean high quality was

128 and hard drive space was at a premium.

If you've been downloading from here then you'll know that everythign is

at least 128kb/sec and all of the new rips are 320kb/sec

Do remember that the preferred naming system here is:

Cat no-Track no - Artist name - Song Title

If a group's name starts with "The" then that word is generally excluded.

Please don't use the last name/first name convention, and is a song title starts with "The" or "A" then at the start is where that word belongs - not tacled on the end after a comma.

cheers BJ

I put up JT325 a couple of days ago, without bothering to check it; I mean I alreday had it at 128 so this would just be a 320 upgrade, right ??

Turns out that it was originally issued in 2004 as a 15-track disc with the tracks in a different order to the one that I have.

The one that I've got is a 2005 re-issue of the same disc with 17 tracks AND NO GRAPHICS because of copyright problems. Looking at the scans for the original disc I can see that the cat# is JTG325 - mine is JT325. The missing G means that there are no graphics.

So what I've done is take the GFX from the original disc and the audio from my rip, together with the GFX from the ScreenStars (STS) GFX (same company - PocketSongs), and make up a 17-track version with all of the graphics in place - and then re-torrented as a PROPER issue.

If you check the KSLC listing for this disc you'll see that it's creditted to Stephen Schwartz rather than Wicked the mUsical - Airwer at KSLC must have had a brain fart to credit the composer & lyricist !!!!

Please ENJOY.

Sorry about this. Ripping this disc has been a complete

shitshow.

The disc looks in good condition but close examination

of the disc shows me that there are barely visible surface

defects - and that there are problems with the audio on

tracks 3,5,7,8,9,11,12,13,14,15 . Of course it's far too late

to return whence it came (Hi Music Magpie).

[HEADING=2]I will re-do the disc, with the 2 additional 2005 tracks, using [/HEADING]

[HEADING=2]earlier 128 rips [/HEADING]

Here's the next one. I'll stop here and see whether I get a reaction.

'Cos you're new to GLO and this is your first request and it's a few days since you made it

You may have popped in and it's tha last that we see of you :(

But hopefully you'll see my replies and respond, and I can then get on with the rest of your requests, all 16 of them :)
