Hi @leenew Karaoke I think the easiest way to do it may be to start a private conversation and batch add the recipients you want in one go into that conversation. Then you just send the password once to that batch conversation and those recipients will get it in that PM. Similarly, if these recipients ever share password protected files of their own down the line, then they can just add the passwords onto that same private conversation if the necessary people are in it. While I am typing this, please could I also get the password? - ADNA

I know different forum systems have different settings, but a few I am a member of shows public posts the same as this, BUT hyperlinks are not visible unless you are registered and logged in. Maybe this backend setting exists here?

Hi there I think Mega has a few mechanisms for access control available. As far as I am aware: (1) You can share the folder with specific user accounts (may be tedious) (2) You can use the same "share link" feature but use the toggle to set a password. I have tested option (2) with an old folder I shared the link to a while back for OZP karaoke. Old links can be converted to password-protected links by right-clicking on the folder in question and selecting "Manage Link", then toggling the password and inputting a password. The link I converted for the example is below: [Hidden Content] The password is: Test12345 Very secure, I know! The only issue I have noticed (which is likely just from my own lack of knowledge) is that when you go back to manage the link I seem to be getting the Non-Password protected link showing - so if I want to obtain the password protected link again I have to input a password and have it regenerate the link. This shouldn't really be an issue if the link sits as a signature on @leenew Karaoke 's messages and the passwords are distributed via personal messages to the desired people. - ADNA

Thanx Mee for this great share. For those of you that want to check, there should be 5,540 files. BUT!! Two of those were included twice, so 5,542 : KV108773 - Ella Fitzgerald - Night And Day --> two versions, one @128 the other @160 KV10829462 - Obscurest Vinyl - I'd Really Like To Get In Your Pants (Because I Just Shit In Mine) -- two identical versions. Let me advise you to check the ZIPs once you've downloaded and extracted them.. MEGA has a nasty habit of corrupting files on the way to you. I use WinRAR to check them, and found that 10 of them were not OK; if you find a problem like that just go back to MEGA and download the faulty files individually - and they should be OK

Thanks ADNA. My signature is the new link, which is now password protected. Is there a quick way to distribute the password to members? If not, just send me a message and I will provide the password. As noted earlier, when you access it, it make take a number of *minutes* to get all the info and decrypt it as it is such a large folder. This action may actually be overdue as I have noticed that lately it has become increasingly difficult and slow to access the MEGA folder. I can only think this is because many people were downloading large parts of it at the same time? Thanks to BJ for suggesting this in the first place. Lee.
